Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and — in some cases — track your behaviour across the web for advertising purposes.

Not all cookies are the same. Some are essential for a site to function at all; others are optional and used for analytics or marketing. This policy explains exactly which type ReceiptNudge uses.

2. How ReceiptNudge uses cookies

ReceiptNudge uses only essential (strictly necessary) cookies. These are cookies without which the service simply cannot work — specifically, keeping you logged in to your account.

We do not use:

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • Third-party analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar).
  • Social media tracking pixels (e.g. Facebook Pixel).
  • Any cookies that track your behaviour across other websites.

3. The cookies we set

The only cookies set on receiptnudge.com are first-party authentication cookies provided by Supabase, our database and authentication provider:

Cookie namePurposeDurationType
sb-access-tokenAuthenticates your session and keeps you logged in.SessionEssential
sb-refresh-tokenRenews your session automatically so you stay logged in without being prompted repeatedly.SessionEssential

Both cookies are set by receiptnudge.com directly. No third party can read them.

4. Cookies we do not use

To be explicit, ReceiptNudge does not use any of the following:

  • Google Analytics or any other analytics platform.
  • Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any social media tracking.
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies of any kind.
  • Any cookies set by third parties that track you across the web.
  • Persistent preference or personalisation cookies.

5. Your choices

Because we only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function, we are not required by law to show a cookie consent banner, and we do not show one.

You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please be aware that:

  • Clearing cookies will log you out of your ReceiptNudge account.
  • Blocking essential cookies entirely will prevent the service from working — you will not be able to log in.

Most browsers allow you to manage cookies in their privacy or security settings. Consult your browser's help documentation for instructions specific to your browser and device.

6. Changes to this policy

If we introduce any new cookies — for example, if we add optional analytics in a future update — we will update this page, notify users by email, and implement appropriate consent mechanisms before setting any non-essential cookies.

The current version of this policy is always available at receiptnudge.com/cookies.
